The Character Tradition
For anyone who knows the OG Team, they have probably heard about the "Disney Tradition". After accepting the
position at Oak Grove and getting to know his students, Mr. Cole wanted to start a tradition that would make
them all a part of a bigger family. That way, ten years from now if a former member met a current member they
would still have stories to tell about how they "got their character". Cole channeled his former employment for
the idea. Believing that every child possesses the characteristics of at least one, and knowing that there were
more than enough to go around, the tradition continues. Each May, the graduating seniors receive their
"character". A symbol that characterizes them, and the way they will be remembered. And one that will always
be theirs...and no one else's.
