Taylor Herring - Junior
2-Year Team Member
Secretary
Miss Taylor Herring serves as the Warrior Forensics Secretary during the 2009-2010 season. Already in her first
year of competition, she competed in Prose Interpretation, Expository Speaking, Poetry Interpretation, Duo
Interpretation, and Television Commentary. She is also a NCFL National Qualifier (2009 - Oral Interpretation).
In addition to being on the team, Taylor is a staff writer for The Warrior Beat newspaper staff, and is a member of
Beta Club, Red Cross, Student Council, Key Club, DECA, and the Temple Baptist Church Youth Group. During
the current season Miss Herring plans to compete in Public Forum Debate, Prose Interpretation, Dramatic
Interpretation, Poetry Interpretation, and Duo Interpretation.


Wade Maloney - Junior
3-Year Team Member
Interpretation Captain
Wade Maloney begins his third year with Warrior Forensics and first year as Interpretation Captain in 2010. He is a NCFL
National Qualifier (2008 - Duo Interpretation); and a member of the 2008 Mississippi Youth Congress State Championship
Delegation.. In addition to Forensics, Mr. Maloney is a member of the Drama Department, the Dramafest Cast & Crew, and
a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Youth Group. In previous seasons he has competed in Congress,
Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, Prose Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation,
Storytelling, Poetry Interrpretation, Humorous Interpretation, and Duo Interpretation. In 2010, Wade will compete in
Public Forum Debate, Congress, Prose Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Poetry Interpretation, and Duo Interpretation
Will Bedwell - Junior

Debate Captain
Mr. Will Bedwell will be the Debate Captain of Warrior Forensics during the 2009-2010 season. This is his second year with the
team. He is a NFL National Qualifier (2009 - Public Forum Debate); the 2009 MFL District Champion in Public Forum
Debate with partner Steven Wild, and a member of the 2008 Mississippi Youth Congress State Championship Delegation. In his
first year of competition, he participated in Public Forum Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Congress, Extemporaneous
Speaking, Expository Speaking, and Humorous Interpretation. In addition to Forensics, Will is a staff writer for the Warrior
Beat Newspaper and a member of the Young Republicans. He is also an active member of the youth group at Kennsington
Woods Church of Christ. During the 2010 season, Mr. Bedwell will compete in Public Forum Debate, Congress,
Extemproaneous Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, Humorous Interpretation, and Television Commentary.
Ashley Kinney - Senior Member

In the four years that Miss Ashley Kinney has been on the team she has competed in almost every event. Over the past three
years she has participated in Policy Debate, Public Forum Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, Prose Interpretation, Expository
Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, Storytelling, Poetry Interpretation, Declamation, Humorous Interpretation, Television
Commentary, and Duo Interpretation. Now, in her senior year, she is focusing her attention on the events she loves most: Prose
Interpretation, Storytelling, Humorous Interpretation, and Duo Interpretation. She also has her work cut out for her as the
Assistant Tournament Director for the Warrior Invitational.
William Ross - Junior
2-Year Team Member
Speech Captain
This is the second year as a member of Warrior Forensics for Mr. William Ross. He is a NCFL National Qualifier
(2009 - Public Forum Debate); a member of the 2008 Mississippi Youth Congress State Championship Delegation, and
serves as Speech Captain this year. During his first year of competition, William competed in Congress, Public Forum
Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, Declamation, and Duo Interpretation. This year he will
compete in Extemporaneous Speaking, Expository Speaking, Original Oratory, Duo Interpretation, Public Forum
Debate, and Congress. In addition to Forensics, William is a member of the Drama Department and an active
member of Temple Baptist Church
Daniel Rigel - Junior
3-Year Team Member
Chapter President
This year's Chapter President is Junior, Daniel Rigel. Mr. Rigel competes in his third season with Warrior Forensics during the
2009-2010 season. He is a two-time NCFL National Qualifier (2008 - Duo Interpretation, 2009 - Original Oratory); a NFL
National Qualifier (2009 - Original Oratory); and a member of the 2008 Mississippi Youth Congress State Championship
Delegation. Over the past two years Daniel has competed in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Congress, Extemporaneous Speaking,
Impromptu Speaking, Dramatic Interpretation, Poetry Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Declamation, and Original Oratory. In
addition to Warrior Forensics, he is actively involved with the Warrior Varsity Football Team, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, and
the Temple Baptist Church Youth Group. During the 2010 season, Mr. Rigel can be seen competing in Dramatic Interpretation,
Impromptu Speaking, Expository Speaking, Duo Interpretation, Original Oratory, Lincoln-Douglas Debate and Congress.
Jared Keys - Junior
2-Year Team Member
Sargeant-At-Arms
In his second year of competition, Mr. Keys is laying down the law as the team's Sargeant-At-Arms.
He is a NCFL National Qualifier (2009 - Lincoln-Douglas Debate); and a member of the 2008
Mississippi Youth Congress State Championship Delegation. In his previous season he competed in
Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, Storytelling,
Humorous Interpretation, Declamation, and Congress. During his junior year, he plans to
concentrate on Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, Poetry
Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, and Congress. Outside of Forensics, Jared is also a
member of the Asian Cultural Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Young Republicans, and Club Otaku.
Steven Wild - Junior
2-Year Team Member
Vice President
During the 2009-2010 season, Mr. Steven Wild will be the team's Vice President. He is a NFL National Qualifier (2009 - Public
Forum Debate), the 2009 MHSAA Declamation State Champion, the MFL Public Forum District Champion with partner Will
Bedwell, and a member of the 2008 Mississippi Youth Congress State Championship Delegation. In his first year of competition
he competed in Declamation, Extemporaneous Speaking, Prose Interpretation, television Commentary, Congress, and Public
Forum Debate. In 2010, Mr. Wild can be seen competing in Public Forum Debate, Congress, Extemporaneous Speaking,
Original Oratory, and Television Commentary. Steven is also involved with the Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, is co-founder of the
Young Republicans, and is an active member of the Heritage United Methodist Church Youth Group. He was also recently elected
to be a junior escort for the 2009 Homecoming Court

Rob Hairston - Junior
2-Year Team Member
Historian
Junior year is Rob's second year of competition with Oak Grove Forensics. During his novice
year he competed in Public Forum Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, Prose Interpretation,
Duo Interpretation, and Declamation. This year, Mr. Hairston serves as the team's Historian, so
thank him for all the wonderful pictures on this website. In addition to Forensics, Rob actively
participates in the Beta Club and plays for the Warrior Soccer, Baseball, and Tennis teams.
This year Rob plans to compete in Public Forum Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking,
Expository Speaking, Television Commentary, Duo Interpretation, and Congress.
