TOURNAMENT MVP
This tournament was very successful for OG Forensics. Normally, we just pick one but because of
the exceptional showing of these two young men we felt both deserved this week's honor.

GUNNAR THORDERSON
Sophomore - 2nd year member
1st Place - Novice Lincoln-Douglas Debate
1st Place - Storytelling
Semifinalist - Varsity Extemporaneous Speaking
Mr. Thorderson has been in the running for this award several times already this year,
but it appears that Petal has been his tournament. The OG team has been fortunate
to have several students win multiple events in a single tournament, but you can't get
further apart than Lincoln-Douglas Debate and Storytelling. Throw in a semifinals
placing in Extemp and you have a placing in all three areas of competition. This is
the mark of a true MVP.
