The 6th Annual Warrior Invitational
|

Letter from the Coach,
So much is involved in preparing a school for a tournament. This year that
worked doubled as we agreed to move our tournament up two weeks in
order to accommodate our band program. I would not have been able to do
it without endless support from so many people. Please indulge me a few
moments to thank those people.
Theresa Banks, Carrie Bedwell, and Kaycee Hairston are three fearless and
hard-working women who agreed to be the Booster Tournament Directors
in this 6th year. Thank you ladies so much for all the hard work and effort
you gave to me and my team. I am so thankful for parents like you.
Which brings me to all of the parents in our Booster Organization. What
an AWESOME group we have. To everyone who volunteered to work,
cook, bake, judge, clean-up, please know your help did not go unnoticed.
My tired body didn't get around to everyone to say thank you, but I am so
grateful for everything you do.
To Kirsten Raimey and Ashley Kinney, my student Tournament Directors,
I am so thankful that I had both of you this year. You were always there
when I needed something and by the end of the tournament you were
taking care of things before I had time to tell you about them!
To all the team members, you did an amazing job during the tournament.
I am so proud of everyone of you. You make me so proud.
To anyone who came to judge, I hope you enjoyed yourselves and I hope
you had so much fun that you will come back again and again and again!!
To all the schools who participated, and their coaches that have become my
closest friends, I enjoy this weekend so much having you come to my home
away from home and getting to do what we do every weekend (except I
don't have to travel!) Thank you for your continued support!
Here's looking forward to an even better 7th Annual Warrior Invitational,
Mr. Cole

Tournament MVP
KEVIN HUSSEY
Junior - First year member
Hosting a tournament can be one of the most frustrating things on the planet, but
that frustration seems to go away when you have a team member like Kevin. It is only
Kevin's first year of competition. He'd never been part of hosting a tournament before,
and had only attended one before this one so it amazed me how much he understood
the process. I had several students that ran the tournament and did a phenominal
job, but by the end of the tournament I found myself looking for Kevin and giving
him some of the most important jobs to do because I knew I could always trust and
depend on him to not only get the job done, but do it extremely well. It's students like
him that keep a coach from going crazy when everyone is at their school. I am so
proud of the work he accomplished. He proved that being a team player is the best
kind of player to be.
CONGRATULATIONS (and thank you) KEVIN!!!
